Her heart weeps, hurt, confused
Life’s pains, caught up, finally to her soul
She pushes away, what could be good,
Glorious, for her
Sadness flows from her eyes
Once awash with light
Her heart trampled ‘neath hooves
of stress and discomfort
A soul of light
Veiled by sin and pain
She knows not when
It will all end
I’ve seen her goodness,
The glory of her heart
Now it’s hid
Aching to get out
I’ve seen the life
That’s touched mine so
I’ve seen her soul
Full of fire and life
My prayer strains forth
that she’ll see it too.
